Uwera Franckaerts was born in Rwanda and grew up in Belgium. She has a bachelors degree in PR & Communications and obtained a Master’s degree in Political Communications from the University of Antwerp. Uwera is creative soul and storyteller. She is a social-cultural worker and a teacher with an expertise in working with newcomers. She advocates for the rights of adoptees and is an active member of Black History Month Belgium. Uwera is also active in Acces as the communication coordinator.
